A city collection
The centre held material relating to Kampen, including photographs, books and art. These are different ways of researching a town. A photograph can make a place visible, while a document helps to place names or events.
Where do you look now?
For archive material, photographs and library queries, the Stadsarchief (city archive) is the obvious new starting point. Some of the art has been placed with the Stedelijk Museum. Ask there about availability; a transfer does not mean everything goes on permanent display.
The former bank building
The former location was a bank building. Old opening hours found in guides relate to that discontinued public function and are not confirmation that you can go inside now. Plan any research or museum visit through the receiving institution.
