Rooms as an ensemble
Look at the furniture, wall finishes and walking routes as an ensemble. Ask which elements originally belonged to the house and which were added later.
The residents take centre stage
An interior gains meaning through the women who lived there. Keep personal biography, house rules and general social history separate as you do so.
Guided visits
Groups of five to fifteen receive a private guided tour; there are also occasional sign-up sessions. Walking around independently is not possible.
Before you go
Booking in advance is essential. From 13 to 30 September 2026 inclusive there are no guided tours; confirm the resumption date when you book. Small steps throughout the house make it difficult to access by wheelchair.
