Compare the symmetrical old façade with the ‘cloud’ above it. Inside, the staircase, height and views determine how you move between the historic architecture and the new gallery.
Collection and changing programme
The Hannema Collection is shown alongside temporary exhibitions. Check what is actually open after the rebuilding work and do not assume there is a permanent fixed route.
Special times to visit
Fundatie Friday offers free admission on the first Friday evening; Silent Sunday starts earlier on the last Sunday. Both have their own atmosphere and possible programme.
Before you go
The museum is closed for rebuilding work from 21–25 September 2026. From 26 September to 1 October inclusive there is a limited free presentation; closed on 28 September and 2 October. Check the current calendar before you set off.
