Explanation along the way
A guided tour gives the route a shared pace. With room guides you can ask questions in a different way; check in advance which form of visit is offered on your chosen day.
Interior and garden
The gardens form a separate element alongside the rooms. Allow enough time if you want to see both, and ask which parts are accessible with your chosen ticket.
Out and about with children
A treasure hunt for children is mentioned. Ask about current availability and take account of restrictions on pushchairs in the castle, so the visit remains practical.
Before you go
The castle has stairs and no lift. Check the correct seasonal schedule, the last entry time and special closing days before you set off.
