The collection on local shopkeepers and the local newspaper De Kaap offer ways into local research. Note down a name, address or period in advance, so that you can discuss specifically which material might help.

A photograph and a newspaper report show different sides of a subject. With both, pay attention to dating and context, rather than reading an image without explanation as the whole story.
Temporary presentations
Changing exhibitions also give visitors without a research question a way into Doorn. Check the current subject if that is your main reason for coming to the Oudheidkamer.
Before you go
The venue is on the first floor and has a lift. Check for any holiday or renovation closures, and make an appointment for groups.
