The Evolution Garden sets out relationships and development. Compare the flower, leaf and seed of two closely related groups and use the labels so as not to mistake outward similarity for family ties.
Climate in the greenhouses
Tropical plants need different warmth and humidity from the species outside. Note the technical climate control and ask which seasonal differences still remain visible in a greenhouse.
Rock garden and North America
Height, stone and microclimate shape the rock garden; the woodland garden uses geographical origin as its framework. Visit both to compare two different organising principles.
