Documentary photography often works through sequence. Choose three photos from one series and see how order, caption and repetition build meaning together.
Who is looking at whom?
Exhibitions on violence, territory or power call for attention to the position of the photographer and the person portrayed. Look for information on the commission, consent and publication context before you draw conclusions.
Guided tour and current calendar
On Saturdays there is usually a short introductory tour; groups book in advance. Between regular exhibitions the hours may differ, so an old exhibition announcement is no proof of current opening.
Before you go
Regularly Wednesday–Sunday 11.30–17.30, but check whether an exhibition is on. The exhibition space can only be reached by stairs.
