Studying a body
Anatomical specimens were made to examine and demonstrate the structure of the body. Look at them with attention to their function as objects of study. During a guided tour, ask how a specimen is used to make something visible or understandable.
Models alongside specimens
Wax models and other forms of anatomical presentation complement the collection. A model is a different way of explaining from a preserved specimen. By looking at them side by side, you can ask questions about what each medium shows.
A visit arranged with a purpose
Make an appointment through the Anatomy secretariat and allow for preparation time for guided tours. The Stratenum is on Universiteitsweg. The Bleulandkabinet in the Universiteitsmuseum is a different display and does not give access to this museum location.
