A neighbourhood consists of houses, but also of relationships between people. In the display, notice how these sides are told together. It helps to look not only at recognisable objects or names, but also at the circumstances around them.
The past and current questions
The museum links historical subjects with current neighbourhood issues. Compare them carefully: recognition does not mean that situations are the same. Ask what differences the display shows between a former working-class neighbourhood and a district of today.
Into the district with a guide
There are separate guided tours of Wijk C at announced times. You book these separately from the museum visit and they have their own admission conditions. Check the calendar if you want to combine the indoor display and a walk.
