A machine at the centre
The Op Hoop van Zegen No. 2 is an important part of the collection. The machine is connected with peat extraction in Vinkeveen. On announced open days there may be a focus on how it works; this is not offered every day.
A museum in transition
There are plans to refurbish the building and develop a small-scale Veenmuseum. Plans are not yet an open museum. What will eventually be on view, and when, requires a new, concrete announcement from the foundation.
Do not use old hours
Visitor guides may still show afternoon hours from an earlier period. These do not match the current situation. For a possible open day, follow the latest news and have access to the site and the machine confirmed.

There is no regular museum opening and no confirmed reopening date.
