The display ‘Verhaal van Woerden’ brings coherence to subjects from local history. A Roman object needs different background from a painting. So always read what connection is made with Woerden or the Groene Hart (Green Heart).
The building counts too
The Vroedschapszaal (town council hall) is a part of the visit where you don’t just look at display cases. Take in the furnishing of the room. In this way the former town hall itself complements the objects collected.
Changeover means closure
When exhibitions change over, the museum may be temporarily closed. A changeover week is mentioned for October 2026. Check the visitor information shortly before you set off and bring a bank card, as cash payment is not possible.
