Getting to know a name
Not every visitor knows the Moravians (Hernhutters). So use the permanent exhibition first to understand who the community is and which history is being told. After that, individual objects and names fall more clearly into place.
Connecting inside and outside
From the museum you can see the squares that belong to the subject. Look at those surroundings again after the exhibition. A guided tour can offer extra context, but must be requested separately and has its own programme.
Shop hours are not museum hours
The museum shop sells Moravian stars (Hernhuttersterren), among other things. During the Christmas period the shop sometimes opens earlier than the museum. If you are coming for the exhibition, follow the museum hours and check current information around public holidays.
Before you go
Request a guided tour in advance and do not confuse the longer Christmas shop hours with museum opening.
