Besides the displays, pay attention to the former shops too. Wall and ceiling paintings are part of the setting you walk through. See how the historic buildings and the new building together form the museum route.
Looking actively at the region
An interactive display, including a barcode game, offers another way into the subjects. Alternate playing and reading. This way you can see the regional costume as part of a broader story about the Land van Axel.
Three sites, three timetables
The main museum on the Markt has different opening times from the mill and the water tower. A museum ticket or an open door at one site does not mean you can visit the other straight away. The floors of the water tower are not wheelchair accessible.
