Look not only at the exterior but also at how a camera would have been operated. Which parts do you recognise, and which raise questions? For special models, such as spy cameras, the explanations can help you understand their specific function.
Listening without switching on straight away
You can also look at a radio as a design: knobs, dial and casing tell you something about how it was operated. Do not assume there will be demonstrations or working sets; ask what is possible during your visit and which sets are explained.
