Using a house
The kitchen, pump and box bed make home life a concrete subject. Imagine how an everyday task would have gone in this setting. At suitable points, children can for example work the pump, grind coffee or weigh sweets; follow the guide’s instructions when doing so.
Clothing and learning
Cadzand regional costume and the Aap-Noot-Mies school blackboard add other sides of daily life. A changing exhibition in the attic can round off the visit. Trying on regional costume is a separate activity by appointment, not a standard part of the open afternoon.
Planning a guided tour
Allow about three quarters of an hour to an hour. The last guided tour starts before closing time. The season runs roughly from late April to mid-October; for other days, weekends or groups, get in touch by phone.
