Start with the geographical and historical overview. Which places and events does the museum connect with the operation? That framework helps you see the military objects and stories as more than isolated pieces from the war.
Objects and reconstructed scenes
Material from the German occupiers and Canadian liberators is supplemented by photographs, documents and testimonies. There are also reconstructed wartime scenes. As you look, keep in mind the difference between such a display and an original photograph or document.
Waiting for the next opening
The announced summer Saturdays of 2026 ended on 29 August. After that, no fixed weekly schedule has been confirmed. Occasional openings may follow, but only plan a visit once a specific date and time have been announced or confirmed directly.
