A wide-ranging collection
Besides shells, the former collection also included corals, minerals and fossils. It thus brought together different kinds of natural forms, although the current listing does not describe a display that can be visited.
The village too
Archaeological subjects relating to Zaamslag formed another side of the museum. Descriptions of that collection may still help you recognise the collecting field, but they are not an invitation to visit.
Old hours remain listed
A museum guide may show both a closure label and an old weekly timetable. For planning, the closure notice must take precedence; old days do not make the collection accessible again.
Before you go
