At the shipyard, preservation and repair take centre stage. Which work is visible varies from moment to moment; follow the visitor route and ask what explanation is available during your visit.
Ships in the harbour
The historic fleet forms a second part of what is on offer. Seeing a ship moored is not the same as being allowed on board, so check what access is offered that day.
Planning two addresses
The shipyard is on the Vissersdijk, the harbour location on the Oude Haven. Look in advance at how to combine both and how much time you want to keep free for any activity.
Before you go
The museum works with a season and adjusted autumn hours. Check the exact closing date and access at each location; the harbour and the workshop make different demands.
