Material and imitation
Look out for surfaces that represent a different material from the one they are made of. The difference between material and painted impression makes the decoration interesting to look at up close, within the stated visiting rules.
Moving through the house
The connected reception rooms (salon en suite), the dumbwaiter and the stair tower bring together the furnishing and the use of the house. During your visit, ask how such features are explained within the tour offered.
Limited visiting times
The house opens according to a monthly weekend schedule. A ticket belongs to a specific visiting slot; the address is not a museum open daily where you can ring the bell without preparation.
