The Kinderboekenmuseum lets visitors engage with stories through characters and activities. Check the age information so that expectations match the available parts and your group can go round at a suitable pace.
Beyond the exhibition
A literary archive has a different function from a public gallery. If you want to consult material, find out in advance what access and conditions apply; a museum ticket does not automatically give you permission for this.
The current location
A move to Utrecht has been announced for the end of 2027. When planning, check which location is actually open. For current public visits, online booking with a time slot applies, including with a Museumkaart (Dutch museum pass).
Before you go
Check the holiday hours and book the time slot you need. Do not take future announcements about the move as proof that the Hague location has already closed or that Utrecht is already receiving visitors.
