The ships remain private
View klippers, barges (aken), tjalks and tugs from the quayside. The ships are lived in and may not be boarded freely; respect privacy and barriers.
Three routes, three paces
A short circuit focuses on ships, a longer walk on the harbour and a children’s route on searching. Choose in advance which route suits your time and group.
Work on the quay
The Werfhuijs and the harbour crane point to maintenance and craftsmanship. Fixed opening hours for the Werfhuijs are not confirmed.
Before you go
The outdoor harbour is free and always accessible. That does not mean the ships or the Werfhuijs are open. Start at the IJsselhuis, for example, allow for the weather and the quay surface, and phone ahead if you specifically want to see the Werfhuijs.
