Ask which parts of the ram turret ship are accessible during your visit. For a visible structural element, ask for an explanation of the function it had and how the ship changed later.
Life inside steel
When booking, ask whether technical spaces or crew quarters are part of the route. If you can visit such spaces, pay attention to light, ventilation and room to move.
The month determines access
Opening days vary greatly from month to month, and private parties may close off areas. A general weekend pattern is therefore not enough for planning your trip.
Before you go
Consult the 2026 calendar: September usually Wednesday and weekends, October–December mainly Sunday, usually 11:00–17:00. Call on the day of opening because of possible partial closure.
