Learning to study a body
The themes ‘Gezond en ziek’ (Healthy and Ill) and the Leiden tradition give the collection its direction. Specimens and models show different ways of clarifying anatomy. On a guided tour, it can be explained why a particular form of presentation was chosen.
Historical and teaching material
The collection also contains historical items, including the Albinus cabinet (Albinuskast). View such pieces in their educational context. An old specimen is not just an object from the past, but also material through which knowledge was passed on.
Limited public access
Educational groups are required to book and agree on the conditions. For the general public, the Weekend van de Wetenschap (Weekend of Science) is mentioned as the time to visit. The exact date and access must be checked each year; ordinary weekdays are not open for walk-in visits.
