Walking attentively outdoors
During your walk, choose a few plants or trees to look at more closely. Note the leaves, the way they grow and the information on name and origin. This gives a garden visit more direction than simply looking for what is in flower at that moment.
A different climate indoors
The greenhouses offer a different environment from the outdoor garden. Compare what you see there with the plants outside and read which conditions are explained. The Oude Sterrewacht (Old Observatory) also offers a separate programme that you can combine with your visit.
Shorter hours from September
The autumn and winter schedule starts on 21 September. Not all greenhouse sections, bridges and paths are accessible by wheelchair or mobility scooter. Ask in advance about a suitable route and bear in mind the closure around Christmas and New Year.

From 21 September, check the winter hours and, if you have limited mobility, ask about accessible greenhouse routes.
