A building that rises high
The different levels mean climbing stairs. Take time on each floor to see what the space adds to the whole. If you are coming mainly for the technology, think in advance about which workings you want to understand during the visit.
Steep stairs and last admission
The museum is not wheelchair accessible. The last admission is before closing time, so arriving late may leave you little time. The mill is closed around Leidens Ontzet (Relief of Leiden) and various public holidays; check the calendar.
