At the LAM, viewing coaches (kijkcoaches) are on hand to help you look. The approach invites you to take your own observation seriously first. What do you recognise, what surprises you and which detail changes your first impression?
A conversation in the gallery
The viewing coaches are present in the museum spaces. So you do not need to know much about art in advance to ask a question. Use the everyday subject as a starting point, but also give the work room to evoke something else.
A time slot in advance
You book a ticket with a start time online; there are no ordinary ticket sales at the door. There are paid tickets and sponsored free tickets. Thursday is usually reserved for schools, with exceptions during school holidays. Groups of more than ten people cannot be accommodated outside the schools programme.
Before you go
Book a start time in advance. The Museumkaart (Dutch museum pass) and similar passes are not valid; also check the current Thursday schedule.
