The shop as a starting point
Start with the grocer’s shop and groats shop. See how the space is furnished and how shop work fits into it. It is a different way of looking at a village than through a series of major events: everyday activities come first.
Beyond the counter
The house and the other parts broaden the visit. Compare the rooms and their functions without seeing everything as a single household. If you want more explanation about the museum or the village centre, you can arrange a guided tour in advance.
Free, but at set times
Regular visits are free and possible on Wednesdays, Saturdays and the first Sunday of the month. Thursday morning is intended for handing in items, not for museum visits. Accessibility is limited, despite the stairlift.
Before you go
Do not confuse the Thursday hours for handing in items with public opening. Guided tours must always be arranged in advance.
