The permanent display covers, among other things, the origins of Maassluis, fishing and the bombing during the Second World War. See how these subjects show different sides of the town. The explanations help you place the items on display in context.
Room for art
Alongside the historical collection, the museum owns visual art, with Jeanne Oosting and Otto B. de Kat among the names in the collection. What exactly you see depends partly on the current displays. Ask about the exhibitions in the Tuinzaal and the De Vrieskabinet.
An afternoon on the Zuiddijk
The museum is open in the afternoons from Tuesday to Sunday. There is a lift and the venue is wheelchair friendly. The museum garden also offers a chance to spend a little time outside after looking.
