A visit on board offers a different experience from looking from the quay. Notice the layout and the connections between the spaces open to visitors. Ask which parts you may look at and follow the instructions on board.
Attention to the setting
Before or after your visit, also take a moment to look at the ship from the harbour. The difference between that overview and the spaces inside can help you understand the ship’s shape better, without any technical knowledge.
Plan for a Saturday afternoon
Regular public opening is on Saturday afternoons. Thursday is a maintenance day and not a time to visit. Because of the stairs, the Hudson is not suitable for wheelchair users or people who find climbing stairs very difficult. Also check for possible seasonal or weather-related closures.
Before you go
Check the current Saturday opening before you set off. The Museumkaart (Dutch museum pass) is not valid and the ship is not wheelchair accessible.
