The command post, training building and other parts together form a setting centred on preparing for emergencies. On a guided tour, when available, the explanations can clarify how their functions related to one another.
Waiting for guidance
Which spaces are accessible during the works may change. So do not expect a complete route based on earlier descriptions of visits, and ask in advance what any open day includes.
The right location
The museum also has a location in Grou. The opening of that command post does not apply to Rijswijk; always check the place name in a calendar listing or booking.
Before you go
The renovation may change the schedule. Ask whether guided tours are going ahead, about the last start time and about accessibility; an intended date is not yet a guaranteed opening.
