From shed to model railway
The model railway offers a change of scale after the large rolling stock. Check in advance whether the upper floor is accessible for your group and whether the railway is available during your visit.
A guided visit
A guided tour can give more context than looking around on your own. It must be arranged in advance; it is not an automatic part of every admission to the depot.
Before you go
Check the difference between Wednesday and Saturday hours and the closures on public holidays. The workshop has its own visitor routes; ask in advance about accessibility and any restrictions on event days.
