Rotterdams Radio Museum makes devices speak again

Above the Correct shop is a free collection of radios, televisions, hi-fi, electronics and computers that makes the development of receiving, watching and computing tangible.

Plan your visit ↗

Radio from cabinet to circuit

Compare the casing, scale and controls of two sets. Ask which components are visible and whether a demonstration can show safely how they work.

Image and sound grow together

Television and hi-fi show different design choices from radio. Look at screen size, speaker placement and connections across different periods.

The computer becomes household electronics

Early computers make storage and operation visible. Read the model and year before comparing speed or use with present-day devices.

Before you go

Open Thursday–Sunday 13.00–16.00; Monday–Wednesday closed. Closed on public holidays. The collection is on the second floor above Correct, reachable by lift. Groups and schools can make an appointment outside regular hours.
