Assignments invite children to name colour, shape, material and scale. Let a child observe independently first before an adult explains.
A workshop after the gallery
Making something yourself helps to explore a technique from the exhibition. Compare the process with the artwork without judging the result as a copy.
Age determines the programme
Friday morning is aimed at toddlers and pre-schoolers. For other time slots, check which exhibition and workshop suit the age and attention span.
Before you go
Tickets online only, with a time slot. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 10.00–13.00 and 14.00–17.00; Friday 10.00–13.00 for children aged two to six. Closed between 13.00 and 14.00. During the school holidays for the Midden region, usually Tuesday–Sunday with the same lunch break.
