The auditorium becomes part of the work
For each exhibition, look at which means the immersive installation uses and how the route runs through the former cinema auditorium. Note what is installation and what is existing building.
Immersion takes time
Start at a distance and then move slowly through the work. Follow instructions about darkness, sound or touch and respect other visitors.
Installation work can close the doors
Monopole may be temporarily closed between exhibitions. Check the title, run and opening status; regular weekly hours do not guarantee access during changeovers.
Before you go
Open Tuesday–Sunday 11.00–17.00; closed on Monday. Open on Easter Monday, Whit Monday and Boxing Day; closed on King’s Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Always check whether a temporary closure for installation work applies.
