The mill as a production step
Follow how grain is delivered, ground and used further. Ask when the volunteer millers are working the mill and which parts are then in motion.
Height is part of the route
The museum and miller’s section is in a tall mill with many stairs. Ask in advance which floors are accessible and which parts of the milling process are explained there.
The shop raises the question of origin
The shop sells flour from De Vrijheid. Distinguish between production in De Walvisch, products from other mills and souvenirs.
Before you go
Open Tuesday–Sunday 11.00–17.00; closed on Monday. A combined ticket with the Jenevermuseum is available. Public holiday hours must be checked via the Jenevermuseum. The mill has many stairs; ask which parts are accessible if climbing stairs is difficult for you.
