Follow sails, shaft, transmission and water displacement as one chain. Ask which parts are turning during your visit and which safely remain still.
The polder is right outside
Use the view to recognise differences in height, ditches and drainage. Compare landscape and explanation without generalising from a single day’s water levels.
A guided tour up the stairs
Volunteers explain the technology floor by floor. If you cannot climb, you may be able to watch a video of the route on the ground floor.
Before you go
From April to October open Wednesday and Saturday 13.30–16.30; no fixed opening outside the season. Groups by appointment. The mill has thresholds and steep stairs; ask in advance about the ground-floor video and public holiday opening.
