Picture postcards and photos offer an accessible way in. Look at what an image shows and which questions remain unanswered. The accompanying explanation helps you link a street scene or village view to a place and a story.
More than photos
Archaeological finds and ship models add other ways of looking. Compare how a find, a model and a photo can each tell you something different about the area. You do not need to know all the village history to discover such differences.
Above the former garage
The museum is on the first floor of a former fire station garage on the Dokter Lothlaan. The regular opening is a short Sunday afternoon; outside those hours you make an appointment. Ask in advance about access to the upper floor if stairs are a problem.
