Animals and imagination
The exhibitions highlight different sides of Poortvliet’s work. In 2026 the programme includes Wild van Wild and Klaas Vaak. In the exhibition you choose, look at how the subject is worked out in drawing or painting, without trying to see everything in one quick round.
A gnome attic
There is a gnome attic (kabouterzolder) for children. It offers a different way in from the exhibition rooms. Tailor the route to your group and check in advance the accessibility of the parts you want to visit; the accessibility of the shop does not tell you everything about the whole building.
Planning with the ferry
The crossing from Nieuwendijk is part of the visit. Buy ferry tickets in advance online or at the information point, not on board. The museum has a seasonal schedule and can be combined with the Landbouwmuseum on the island.
