Kunstmuseum Den Haag: Mondrian in Berlage's palace
From Victory Boogie Woogie to fashion and Delft Blue: the museum in The Hague has a broad collection in a building that itself draws attention.

Kunstmuseum Den Haag is housed in a building by Berlage on the Stadhouderslaan. The complex opened in 1935 and is a national monument. According to the museum, the city built up the collection for and by its inhabitants. The museum has carried this name since 2019; it was previously called the Gemeentemuseum.
The museum's own collection page mentions more than 170,000 art and cultural objects. According to the museum, these include work by Mondrian, Delft Blue, Islamic art, fashion and contemporary art.

By its own account, the museum holds about 300 works by Piet Mondrian and calls this the largest Mondrian collection in the world. In Mondriaan & De weg naar abstractie, Victory Boogie Woogie has a central place. The museum dates Victory Boogie Woogie to 1942–1944.
