Different ways of reading
The reading collection shows the subject more broadly than an ordinary printed book. Ask which forms of reading are explained and how the various aids can be examined during the visit.
Trying out assistive aids
The museum mentions the option of trying out many aids yourself. Follow the explanation as you do so and ask what an aid does, without equating a short try-out with someone’s daily life.
Advocacy too
Alongside the objects, advocacy also receives attention. That connects practical aids with the question of how people gain access to education, information and other activities.

Visits are by appointment only, with a limited group size. Use the visitor address in Ermelo; a postal address elsewhere is not the museum location.
