First the making process
A demonstration explains how Gouda cheese is made. Try to follow the successive steps and ask about anything you do not understand. In this way a familiar cheese also becomes a product whose making you can place better.
Then the taste
When tasting, the focus shifts from explanation to your own perception. Describe what you notice yourself, without having to choose which flavour is best. A preference does not have to be the same for everyone.
The shop as the last step
The shop gives you the chance to take something home. That is the sales part of the venue; keep it separate from the demonstration and tasting. You can first get to know the subject at your leisure and then decide whether you want to buy something.
Before you go
Check the seasonal hours. Groups can enquire in advance about a demonstration in the language of their choice.
