From dough trough to baking tin
Old machines, sieves and moulds make different steps visible. Choose one product—bread, rusks or cake—and find which tools belong to mixing, shaping and baking.
Packaging and advertising
Rusk tins, photos and newspaper cuttings show how the product became recognisable once it left the bakery. Compare an old package with today’s shop display without reading marketing claims as historical fact.
The baker’s bicycle
The bicycle shifts the story from production to delivery. Look at the carrier, storage and sturdiness, and ask how many products could be carried safely through the town.
Before you go
The museum is free for shop visitors and takes about twenty people at a time. Booking is recommended for a guide, a Saturday visit or holiday periods.
